yogesh_khasa :
i m going to build a gaming rig for myself.......cpu nd mob that i DECIDED TO BUY ARE
CPU - INTEL CORE I5 -4670K
MOB - ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO
I AM NOT ABLE TO DECIDE WHICH GPU TO PICK MY BUDGET IS 20000 RS (300$)...I WANT TO PLAY GAMES IN HIGH SETTINGS WITHOUT ANY LAG
AND THE MOTHERBOARD THAT I PICKED IS GOOD OR IS THERE ANY GOOD MOTHERBOARD UNDER 200$??
PLZ SUGGEST & THANKS FOR YOUR TIME....
hello, i too am from India and your mobo is good for O.C but it costs like Rs.17000 and you can get a similarly performing asus z87-A for just 13000.but remember that if you paln to overclock the i5 to a large degree then the ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO
is a better deal but for moderate overclocking the 4000 can be saved .thus the 4000 saved can be used on the graphics card
so two configs here
1)mobo -- asus maximus vi hero for Rs.17000
gpu -- Asus AMD/ATI R9 270X Direct CUII 2GB GDDR5 FOR Rs.17000
you could have got a r9 280 for Rs.20000 but the performance differce is slight and does not warrant spending extra 3000.ths particular version of 270x is very good for overclocking so you can breach the r9280 mark through high overclocking as this card runs cool.
2)1)mobo -- asus z87-A for Rs.13000
gpu -- Asus AMD/ATI R9 280X Direct CUII 3GB GDDR5 FOR Rs.24000
the performance differnce between an r9 280 and r9 280x is big so its an good investement.buy the asus version as it runs cool and would allow you to reach higher frame rates after overcloking.
the second rig will definetly be 30 to 35% faster in gaming than the first rig all thanks to the exra you can save on a mobo.
