Win7 or Vista for 430 1.8 celeron 4 gigs memory?

I am updating my familys den pc. In it is a 430 1.8ghz celeron intel cpu, 4gigs of memory, 4850 HD ATI video card and a regular sata HD. What would run faster on this system, Win 7 or Vista? I have both 64bit versions of the OS. No gaming will be done on this. Purely internet and music etc..thanks! :)

No Linux. This is for my brother in law and his kids and wife. They are not technically inclined at all. Every piece of software they have is for Windows. I'm not about to open up that tech support nightmare. I have a key for Win 7 ULT, not Home. I thought for some reason Vista would be faster on this hardware then on Windows 7. Installing 7 now.
