Hey all -

I'm putting together this build, planning on buying it today. I wanted to know if all my parts work together, I'm not buying something I don't need etc.

Since I'm new on the computer scene, I'm not planning on over clocking at all. This build will be for gaming. If anything I'd want the price to decrease, this is my max budget right now.

Also I'm getting the kingston SSD for the free copy of watch dogs from new egg (instead of a samsung EVO for example) and I'm getting MSI R9 280 for the three free games (again from new egg).

Thanks for all the help in advance!

Nice build! I might change a few things tho.
1- Your PSU wattage is overkill. If you don't plan on overclocking, a 520~550w psu will be just fine (such as Antec HCG 520m).
2- Your case is nice, but maybe overpriced. There are so many mid tower on sale right now, you could save little bucks there.
3- I'd change your motherboard to a z97 chipset motherboard. It's a little more expensive, but newer and better!

I put my build into a wattage calculator, and it says at least 700w? Should I try a different calculator? Also, why z97? I heard H97 was better if not planning to over clock, though I'm not sure what the actual differences are....

Here's a nice article on what is the difference :http://www.pugetsystems.com/labs/articles/Z97-vs-H97-Wh...
z97 is mainly for overclockers but also more stable. It also allows 2-way SLI (if that's your thing).

Now for wattage, if you look at pcpartpicker (which gives a nice average), your system will only draw 388 Watt. Idk which psu calculator you chose but i would double check with another one.
