I bought a computer from a friend that was custom built and it was by no means a great computer but it served me well. About a week ago I started having display issues and one day I lost all video and when I restarted the computer it would start to boot then would stop, the next time it would not boot at all and would beep two times. I now have a new video card and when it is put in the fan spins at full speed and the computer does not boot but there are no beeps.

Old card: GeForce 7600 vs
New card: GeForce gt 630

Any help would be greatly appreciated, whether that help be telling me I'm stupid or if it's a simple fix, I would just like to know what's wrong so this can be a learning experience.

Check capacitors near gpu, if they are OK. If they are "bubbled", they are not ok, and you should replace them. Another possibility is that your psu is not providing enough power for new gpu. There is one more option, your memory is bad, or even BIOS is bugged and need reset procedure. You basically need to check all possibilities.

I don't see any bubbling anywhere, my power supply is 500 watts. I have tried replacing the ram with different sticks. None change the fan spin problem. I have not yet reset the bios, that will be my next step.
