4gb ddr2 ram
500gb western digital hdd
Lg dvd drive
I ball marathon high end psu 500w
Radeon hd 7770 1gb ddr5

Is this psu enough for m'y rig to run smootly for gaming and other purposes

500 watts is plenty.
Your setup is probably using 300W at most.

But your power supply isn't the only factor for running games smoothly,.
With your current setup I wouldn't expect smooth gaming at high/ultra settings.

-8Gb RAM is more preferable.
-2Gb of GPU is better for fps.
