Calculating MHz for Module name

1333 is actually the mt/s not mhz. It's the same as asking why is ddr3 800 ram 100mhz. It's just what they made the specs to, a nice simple number. Although each step is a ⅓ increase, I actually don't know why it's ⅓.

why is 1333mhz ram 166mhz? that is the confusing part
