Need a driver and manual for a calcomp classic 4036 plotter. We have the unit in storage but have lost the manual and disc. I think that HP had a driver for this unit also.

More about : driver calcomp 4036

Hello... What OS? 32/64? Does Windows recommend or recognize the device when plugged in? what type of connection used with the Plotter?

It's posted in the 95/98/ME forum, and the printer is from that era. Do the math.

I drove back to 1997 using the Wayback Machine and found the CalComp page:

http://web.archive.org/web/19970605150910/http://www.ca...

From there click on the purple technical help button top of the screen: http://web.archive.org/web/19970605150917/http://www.ca...

Then you have two options, for setup files and info, you can click "CalComp Plotters/Printers" button here: http://web.archive.org/web/19970605151028/http://www.ca...

and then navigate down the page under pen plotters the third option Classic 4036: http://web.archive.org/web/19970605152107/http://www.ca...

Your other option for just the drivers is to go to 1998 and click on "Complete support for your blotter": http://web.archive.org/web/19980205072041/http://www.ca...

On that following page you'll find the Windows 95 and Windows 3.1x drivers.

If you click on the links you will see that the downloads have been archived and are usable!!!
