The new update didn't effect my bf4 experience negatively.

Positive update for me!

What graphics card and driver version are you using?

Did you disable your page file?

How much ram do you have?

I suggest make sure your page file is enabled and you have enough available ram to run the game.

I tried disabling my page file once and than Bf4 would just stop while loading without error messages...

I have enough ram, but how do i enablr my pagefile. I get these error messages: something went wrong. Disconnected from EA (1). Port UDP 3659. Server time expired

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows/change-virtu...

Check if it's enabled and let the system manage it... " The page file should is enabled by default in windows 7 and probably in win 8"

Based on your new error message, I don't think the page sfile is the problem.

I suggest reinstall bf4 and reset all your browser settings.

i already tried the port thing, it didnt work. one thing to note is that bf3 doesnt work either, same thing. i've found out that my brother was on my pc before all this happened and there is something that he may have done that changed something about my internet (note, he is not very smart so he couldnt have done anything too soffisticated). i also found out that in battlelog i get really bad pings and neither arma 3 or dayz servers works now, so there has to be something about my firewall or notwork or something. i have no clue on watts going on?!?!

If you're using a router you're protected by a NAT firewall.
I'm assuming you have the windows firewall activated as well.

Try connecting directly to the modem without the router and disabling any firewalls and see if that helps.

What browser are you using?

If you're using Internet explorer - can try disabling it by removing it from programs and use Google chrome as your default.

its weird, cause my brother couldnt have accessed and made changes to something like that. and i have a multimodem. i asked what he had done, and he said: "i logged on to your pc and clicked on the bf4 icon on your desktop and when i tried to log on a server it didnt work, so i played some campiagn instead". is it a notification he might have pressed on or something. i have nothing weird installed on my pc.

Looks like it's a browser problem however trouble shooting will need to be done because I'm not sure.

I suggest you try removing your default browser and using another browser as your default.

Although not completely necessary I would also delete Bf3 & bf4 and reinstall everything from the beginning.

There should be a way to disable router functionality from the modem however you can try this if all else fails.

You can also try putting your local ip address in the DMZ./

If it still displays that port error, just forward those udp ports in your router.

I suggest you reinstall the games and change your default browser.

I think there is a possibility the steps above will solve your problems.

When I have problems with games the steps above are part of my trouble shooting procedures if I don't solve the problem with in a short time because sometimes finding the exact problem is like finding a needle in a haystack and is time consuming.

Reinstalling the game sometimes fixes the problems.

As you know there was a update recently and it's possible that something went wrong in the update process.

but that update has nothing to do with my high ping and my games not working. bf3 for example, it has the issues as bf4.

Call your internet provider, Maybe they are having problems.

The troubleshooting steps might allow you to play the game however I'm not sure why you're getting higher than normal pings in other games unless you are connected to a VPN, have isp problems or your little brother is technically savvy and did something in your router settings.

Maybe you got some virus or spyware however it's unlikely

not proud of it, but it was actually my older brother, and he has no clue of what he has done.
