Hi, I'm thinking about buying an external HDD.
I wan't to know which is better between this two brands of HDD (Seagate vs Toshiba).
I don't want to buy a Western Digital because the last 2 WD external HDD's I had died 2 years after purchased.

Seagate definitely seems to loose vs toshiba...

Of course it does not mean that much, as some series differ from each other pretty much concerning failure rates. I own a few WD reds and never had a problem...

BTW: Very often on external discs, it is the electronics that goes bad, or the hard disc does not work because it got a hit... So sometimes the solution is to think about a better enclosure that holds the drive well internally and is built to withstand limited shocks...
