Hi guys,
I want to upgrade my very basic AMD 6450 graphics card, to an AMD R9 270. However, not so long ago I had a Sapphire Vapor-X 7770 OC 1Gb and that lasted only 5 months before it stopped working. I assumed this was because of the OC on the card (It being overclocked by Sapphire). Then I mentioned this in a post and was told it was probably because of my weak / LOW QUALITY Power supply.
I currently have a Powercool 750W power supply. I've heard a lot of people say the power supply is very bad being from Powercool, but I wasn't really sure because I've had this running 2 years on my computer and it's never had any real issues. I've had a couple of blue screens here and there but not many times at all and I'm not even sure if they're related.
Basically my question is; should I upgrade my Powercool 750W power supply to something that's more reliable, before fitting an MSI R9 270.
If so, would the Seasonic S12II-620 620W ATX12V Standard Power Supply Unit- Bronze do it?

I'm on a budget so I don't want modular as it's very expensive in comparison. Seasonic are a strong brand of power supply manufacturers so I hear, and I am wondering if this power supply would be good enough to handle the MSI R9 270? The power consumption from http://www.hwcompare.com/category/gpu/ says that It's only 150W, so I would of thought that a high quality 620W PSU would be fine with it, however I thought I just ask before buying.
AMD recommend you have a 500W psu before using the card, however I'd rather hear advice from real testers than just a companies say-so.
Thank you for your help!
