So, I have a GTX 660 2GB, and the best i5, and I was wondering which would be better for gaming, another GTX 660, or one GTX 770? I've heard that two GTX 660's wouldn't even make one GTX 770.

Thanks!

Get a GTX 770, and if you then SLI that instead, they will performs the same as one GTX 780 Ti

The processors would be faster but the problem you will run into with the 660s is the lack of Vram. From what I understand the gtx 660 only uses like 1.5gb of ram ( I know it says 2gb). If it were me I would go with one 770 4gb now and a second 770 later

Well, if you can wait for maxwell... that's what I would recommend. But if you can't wait I would say neither. You can get a 290=~ 780 for around $300.00. That being said I own a gtx 680, but its a 2 YEAR OLD GPU... 680=770 why are you buying a 2 year old GPU? Nvidia is really milking this generation of GPUS. I like my 680, but not enough if I didn't have it at all right now to buy the same 2 year old GPU, lol... You are going to want more vram, and both the 780 and 290 have it. Get one of those get a 780 with 6gb vram or 290 with max vram, you will be much happier. Save if you have to. IMHO the 770 isn't worth the price right now.

Go with the 770. And to the poster above, SLI 770s is more or less equivalent to a 780, not a 780 Ti.

I hope you guys aren't saying that two 770's are equal to one 780.

Actually, I apologize, SLI 770s are actually quite comparable to a single GTX 780 Ti. I haven't looked up benches in a while, and it seems to be the case.

And to Romeru, take your pick, there are plenty of SLI 770 benchmarks that show it actually beating, or well within a few frames of a GTX 780 Ti.
