I have a fan that lists 1.1 amps on it. I am trying to find the wattage. I called the company and they told me that the highest watt setting is 107. Now, I have seen a formula that supposedly converts amps to watts as this: amps times 120v dc current equals the wattage. Multiplying 1.1 amps times 120 v equals 132. This is not the wattage provided by the company. I have another example that I will not go into. What do amps measure on a fan and is there a more reliable formula to use.

ohms law is w=v/I
watts = volts / current

the fan would be using dc volts I believe it's 12v
