Hello iam sorry if this is the wrong section but i dont know where to put this, so my problem is that my hard drive is broken on my computer (1) so i took a hard drive from my other computer (2) and plugged it into my computer 1 but when i start up my computer 1 with the hard drive from computer 2 i get a blue screen wich last for a half second then goes away and i get a message where it says: "Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause" and i get listed 2 things i can do 1. launch startup repair and 2. start windows normaly, if i select number 2 i just get the blue screen again for a half second and i get the message again where i need to select either 1 or 2 listed above if i select launch startup repair i get to where i need to choose keyboard language and after that i need to select the user and password of the windows and i did that and then a windows came up: http://res1.windows.microsoft.com/resbox/en/windows%207/main/65a1558c-4130-45c3-93b4-e1de3c40739d_0.jpg i have tryed the startup repair and system restore and i just get the blue screen when i startup the pc again also i have tryed in cmd: "sfc /scannow /offbootdir=f:\ /offwindir=f:\windows" but it just says windows didnt find any problems, i have backed up everything i need on the hard drive and i could restore it with a windows 7 cd but i would like to get help and try so i dont need to restore everything and install all the programs again :) sorry for my bad english and i hope you understanded it and i tryed to explain everything :)

Yes, that is quite often what happens. Fresh install is your ticket to success.
