I recently just upgraded to the 50/25 from 15/5 Verizon Fios internet speeds. When I plug a laptop into the router I get the speeds that are stated. But the problem is every device in my house is wireless. None of the computers will pick any speed past 20 MBPS download speed but will pickup 30-40 MBPS upload speeds. I have a Asus n-13 300 MBPS wireless adapter on my computer. What Can I use so I can pick the speeds on my wireless computers? Link below is the wireless adapter I use.

Depending on which router you have from FiOS, 20/20 may be it. Some of them seem to limit the WiFi to 20Mbps download, and maybe a little bit more upload.

I just had my service switched to a new house, and with the laptop right next to the router....20Mbps is it.
Wired gets the full 50/25 usually quite a bit more.

So...what you might want to do is get a wired/wireless bridge device. Wired out of the back of the router, and it broadcasts WiFi, better than the Verizon ActionTec.
I've not bought one yet, but am investigating getting one.
That isn't going to happen. The wireless signal gets weaker the farther away it is from the access point. You can try getting a $200 AC router and a few $50 AC adapters but honestly.. it isn't worth it. Be happy with the 20Mbps and call it a day.
