Best WiFi adapter for my build?

I recently purchased my gaming PC parts on newegg and need a WiFi adapter due to router being far away, but would really appreciate some opinions for the best bang for buck! 802.11 n and needs to be compatible with windows 8.

If you're really far away from your router chances are you're going to have a number of walls between you and it and wireless performance will also depend heavily on how strong and consistent a signal your router delivers. I feel like a bit of an evangelist on here as I've already recommended this to a couple of people but have you considered a powerline solution? Being wired there's less chance of lag and dropouts, both killers for gaming

I've seen a plug-in repeater which uses the powerline somewhere. Wireless cards aren't all that bad though.

Try installing inSSIDer . It shows you the connection strength. Sometimes, moving your PC by a few inches may improve the signal strength significantly
