I am looking for a powesupply of at least 1900 watts that can support 2 trade on r9 295x2.

I am currently considering the following:
iStar IS2000R4H1UP 2000W Also available on newegg

It can be customised to fit the needs by going into the cable customisation part, but I don't know what to enter.

More about : psu radeon 295x2 crossfire

Maybe consider using multiple power supplies in the system. But, from my understanding, 2 r9 295s wouldn't really give that much of a benefit.

I thought about that, but I was not able to fully understand it, if you can suggest an easy method then I can try that.

Just get the ax1500i power supply, it is the most efficient. So the corsair power supply will be more than enough for you. If you want to see a real test of this power supply paired with these cards look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6E0c3ujMBRY

Acc. To PCpartpicker my estimated wattage is 1520 watts. So 1500i is not an option.

Go look at a video that shows the actual wattage used, not pcpartpciker estimated wattage,

The wattage is for my whole PC not just the cards. But thanks for the replies.

Do you think they didn't have a x79 board, and a high end processor overclocked when they did their testing? They just didn't do wattage tests just for the cards, it was 1400w for the whole system, and the corsair has a stronger 12v rail than most 1600-1700w power supplies do.

Mine is a server PC with 2 processors.

Well I would guess if you have a server you would need a enterprise grade power supply, like the one your originally posted.

For that I can't give you a 100% accurate answer nor could anyone else really, because you would need to call istar and talk to them about everything that you have, and what you plan on putting into it. they will also give you directions on how to measure for your cables etc... I used to work for a networking company before I became self employed. We always had someone call the maker of the power supply to get the right information.

Hi DarkWarrior,

May i suggest dual PSU daisychained like what I did with my 295CF
The two 295x2 will probbaly survived on the ax1500i but for how long?
It is safer I think to have a better headroom , say two 1200W PSU : one powering just the one 295x2, the other powering the other card and the rest of the system.
I would buy the same PSU to minimize the variance in supply and only connect one card to one PSU.

Just an idea...
