Ok guys this is only my second time posting on this site but my first time was an excellent experience which is why I'm confident I will get some great feed back from you all. I am building my first rig, top to bottom and I want to make sure I'm not overlooking anything, I also want some input on the custom loop I am planning. Here is the components list -----
*i7 4770k - Z97 Hero - Corsair 750d case - ax1200i PSU - EVGA 780 Superclocked 3gb - Lamptron FC5v3 - Samsung Evo 256gb SSD x2 - Im not sure what ram i am buying yet but it has to be Corsair ram 1866ghz and up *---- Now the cooling components
*AF140 Fan - SP120 Fan x5 - AlphaCool UT60 120mm rad - AlphaCool UT60 140mm rad - XSPC D5 Vario pump/res combo - EK Supremacy CPU block - PrimoChill PrimoFlex Advanced LRT Tubing - Im not 100% sure what fluid I will use but it will most likely be Mayhem - The GPU watercooling block I am having some trouble picking one out for this particular card, but ill update when I figure it out. Last but not least is the Bitspower Compression fittings, should need about 10 of them. Ok so before you guys ask, the reason I have to buy Corsair ram is because I get Corsair components at a great price. That is also the reason why I am using 2 SP120's for my front rad, rather then Noiseblocker PK3's or something similar. I already have some of the gear purchased ( Case - Processor - Fans - Radiators - SSD's ) , I would have the rest of the Corsair gear but its all out of stock atm. So back to my questions / Reason for this post. I just want to know if there is anything I am overlooking, any small misc pieces I may need that I don't know about (especially for the water cooling loop). I also want some help with the Custom Loop, should I buy the pump/res combo or individually. What do I need to know as far as how to route the loop. I did not create this post to show off my build, I am legitimately looking for input.

As far as the ram goes, I originally planned on getting 8gb Dominator GT 2133ghz CL9, but the set/s I wanted were suddenly discontinued. So I think I may go with the cheaper Vengeance Pro ram probably 1866/CL9. I have no problem paying more for a different set of Dominator ram but I am having a hard time seeing the value, especially with the big difference in price. By going with the cheaper RAM would I be bottlenecking the system at all? Forgive me if I am using that term incorrectly I only have a general understanding of what it means. Any input would be much appreciated.

What all will you be doing with the sytsem? If strictly for gaming then 1866 will be fine, if more, like heavy multi-tasking video, imaging, CAD, VMs or the like would prob want faster sticks....what mobo and DRAM are you looking at (model #s)

I wont be doing any heavy multitasking, just gaming and browsing. I am going to teach my self how to overclock tho. I plan on ordering the Asus Maximus VII Hero Z97. Was going to link you to the page on newegg, but im pretty sure that would be breaking the rules.

ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z97 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Item#: N82E16813132125

And this is the RAM I am leaning towards
Vengeance® Pro Series — 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 DRAM 1866MHz C9 Memory Kit (CMY8GX3M2A1866C9R)
It actually just got in stock on their website, may have to order it soon.

Those will be fine, if thinking, of OCing might look at the GSkill Tridents, they are the best I've had on my Z97 Hero (currently running it w/ a spare 4770K till Devils Canyon Ks are released), also have the Z87 Hero (in sig)....might consider the Tridents in 1866/8 or 2133/9, great sticks!

I ended up buying some RAM today, its not exactly what I wanted but it will hold me over for a few months so I can get more familiar with OC'ing. Then I will have a better understanding of what exactly I want / need, plus hopefully Corsair will release some new Domintor Ram that I can use. I had a set in mind and I waited for them to restock it only to find out they stopped making it. Anyways, the RAM I choose was http://www.corsair.com/en/vengeance-8gb-1-5v-dual-chann... - I got it for just over $50 bucks so it wont be a huge loss when I decide to replace it. Its far from what I had planned on buying but all in all its not half bad, 2133ghz - CL 9 - and only 1.5v so I have some room for OC'ing. Problem is, when I looked at the z97 Hero's QVL for ram, I saw this model but it was with a CL of 11 not 9. I figured it should be fine, here is the exact model on their QVL CMZ8GX3M2A2133C11R. Thoughts?

QVLs are pretty worthless, thos e sticks should be fine, may need a slight OC on the CPU to run 2133 depending on how strong the MC (memory controller) of your particular CPU is (maybe to 4.0 or 4.1
