I recently upgraded my system. I'm running the following setup at the moment

ASRock 970 Extreme3 r2.0
FX-8350
750W power supply

My internet setup is fairly standard. Modem > Sitecom WLR-2100 V2.0 Router > PC and mobile devices. My PC is hooked up through cable.
The

Ever since I upgraded my PC I haven't been able to connect to internet with my PC though the router. If I hook up my PC directly to the modem everything is fine. When the router is in between no connection. I do get a stable signal for my mobile devices though.
I've tried resetting the router, that didn't work. I've downloaded the most recent ASRock and Realtek drivers. Didn't help either.

I'm out of ideas myself. The router works as my mobile devices are getting a signal. My internet connection and cable are fine. It's the conectivity between the PC and the routers that's giving me a headache. Any help is much appreciated.

There are a couple of things you can try.
Have you tried connecting your PC to a different LAN port on the router?
Do you have your internet browser configured to go through a proxy server? Check in your settings that that box is unticked.
Also, can you access your router settings through a browser? If so then you can rule out any physical connection being a problem.

Yeah, I did. Besides, the setup works fine for everything except the connection with PC. All my wireless devices work fine.

I am assuming the problem is recognition between my desktop and the router. Problem is I know next to nothing about these things. The router is PnP and worked straight out of the box for my old desktop in the current configuration.

No (which has me annoyed to bits that I didn't try that already). Did that and have a working connection now. Going to reboot the systeem, see if the connection holds.

Edit: looks solved. Thanks.
