Will these 2 cards work in SLI?

Hi, i am trying to figure out if these 2 cards will work in SLI. I was sold the 4GB card, being told it was a 2gb card, the guy lied to me or didnt know. And now i am stuck with it.

You can sli them but as far as i know you'll only be able to utilise 2gb per card, not 100% on that though

Yes - cards with the same gpu can be sli's. But they will run at the lower clock speeds and use the lowest ram.

how can i SLI them?!?! the option wont show up, and people at EVGA say its not supported!

Doesn't look like he put the sli bridge on the cards.

You'll notice there's a tab on each card for the sli bridge. Why else would they put that on?

ive tried swapping cards to eachothers slots, and flipping the bridge upside down as well...no joy

Looks OK. Both cards locked in the pcie slots? SLI bridge fully on? Power supply cables fully onto card connectors?

Both cards seen in Control Panel Device Manager?

everything is a YES, except NO, sli option is not even present in control panel:

"Fiiiiiiiinnnnnnaaaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyy sorted this out and have SLI up and running!

Not the most elegant solution, and there is probably still something wrong with the board as it doesn't detect it natively, but HyperSLI 1.0 solved the issue for me. Installed it, rebooted, rebooted again and bingo, sweet, sweet SLI goodness all hooked up and working! Got the tip from the tweaktown Asrock forums when I copied this thread over.

I wonder if i have a faulty bridge....should the sli option show up even without bridge connector connected?

im going to try hypersli. it really bothers me that its not working as it should...maybe my motherboard is having issues, even though its brand new

no luck again...hypersli is running, no sli option in control panel...

im about ready to give up and sell the card i guess

Just go back to the stockist that sold you the 4gb card and say you were mis-sold, they pretty much have to exchange the card for the correct one

SOLVED!!!!

Confirmed that these two cards will NOT work in SLI together. I got the seller to trade me for an identical part numbered 2gb card and it worked, piece of cake.
