For gaming its a fairly easy pick with the dual core I3-4130 which will be about ~10% better, however in some multi-tasking applications that can utilize more cores the hex core FX-6300 will be better. The A10 is a similar story to the 6300 except with less benefit in multitasking and a useless on-chip gpu.

One thing you could do, if you want to go for an upgrade-able route, is to get the i3 and a z97 motherboard now, and then get an i5 later on. The i3 should be able to play battlefield decently.

Otherwise the fx6300/8320 would be good.

If he's looking at low end cpu's I doubt he'll be looking at good mobos.

I'd recommend an i3 + B85 combo.

i did some google, benchmarks said i3 is better, but many people said that amd fx6300 is better too, more cores = better :/
so i did put a gaming on the title so that itll be easier to fit the right processor for me coz gaming is mostly what i do on my pc

by that logic an fx8350 should be performing twice as fast as an i5 since it has double the number of cores. it doesn't.

For games that use more cores, the fx 6300 would be better. Otherwise the i3 would do just fine. The i3 + H97/Z97 motherboard would give some kind of upgrade path for the cpu in the future when you come across money for an i5.

Forget the A10-6800K.

The FX-6300 is a good CPU for a few tasks, and Battlefield 4 is one of them, but most games will do better on an Intel CPU.

The i3-4130 is your best option, and will perform best overall.
