CPU Socket has screws beside it

My CPU Socket lever has a screw beside it and I can't change my CPU because of that. Is it supposed to have that?

that is supposed to be there, you need to remove that screw (which helps hold the cpu cover down and keep the cpu in place) if you want to change the cpu.
