I need a good quality PSU that can handle a 780, and is at a good price (under 80$) I plan on selling my 680 to save up for a 780, and my 550w Kingwin Modular Extreme probably won't suffice. I need a good PSU that can handle the 780, and is at a low price. Here's my RIG if that helps.

CPU: Intel I5 3570k (not overclocked)
GPU: GTX 680 (soon to be the 780)
RAM: 8 GB

Before anyone asks, I just plan on getting one 780. I won't be doing SLI.

More about : good psu gtx 780

550w should be enough if its a high quality PSU... I'm not sure if the Kingwin Modular Extreme is high quality though- never heard of it. I'll see what i can find.

Upgrading from a GTX 680 to a 780 o.O you'd be better of SLIing or just overclocking your current card.

What would be a good upgrade for the 680 then?

Personally I'd wait til the next gen cards come out.. The 680 is still a very powerful card... If you can wait another 4-6 months and get a gtx 880 or AMD 390 or whatever they are calling their next high end card that would be best. I mean the GTX 780 has already been out for over a year now.

We have no idea when the 800 series will release, and I don't really want to play the waiting game.

Well you already have a high end card... You have waited to upgrade to a 780 after it has been out for over a year... personally i'd hate it if i bought a high end card at the end of its cycle just to see a new better/cheaper/more effeciant card come out a few months later. But it is your call/money do with it as you like.

The 680 will still max basically every game at 1080p, there is probaby only about a 10-15FPS increase in the 780. The GTX 880 might be out early or mid next year and your current card is good enough until then.
