Hello fellow forum dwellers

First of all, please excuse my english, not native poster here!

GPU/ Asus GeForce GTX 660 Ti 2GB Video Card
PSU/ AEROCOOL STRIKE X 600W 80PLUS BRONZE GAMING
CASE/ Aerocool Xpredator X1 Black Edition ATX Mid Tower Case

Buying now (upgrade 2/2)

CPU/ Intel Core i5-4570 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard/ MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory/ Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage/ Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

I really hope you can give me your honest opinion about this components, and if i'm making a bad decision on any of them

Thanks in advance!

hi! im not an expert but i can assure you that you are going to have a great build! i agree with timball760... a normal hard drive that has more capacity is better than having less capacity but more speed. personally i would go with a wd blue 1TB. i have one myself, and even though its speed is nowhere as fast as an ssd, the speeds are more than enough! its also only $60.

since the first part of your upgrade is already purchased i cant recommend what you shouldve gotten. but the second part of the upgrade looks great except the ssd.

Thanks for your answer Csben

If you mean better than the original Packardbell imedia with the horrible 250W PSU, i5-650 and GT 320... I certainly hope so, given how much I already spent/ are planning to spend!

Or maybe you are comparing it to another possible build, or your own?

To be honest, i just looked for recommended components in this web, and tried to build something money-efficient...

I would really appreciate an expert to give me his opinion, first time buying components here and a little bit nervous about it.

Best regards
Julian

Make sure you also get a HDD on that list just because 128gb on SSD is nice but it has no bulk on what you can install. What is really good on sale (66$) right now is the WD Black 500gb HDD and that is a high quality model (it will have enough memory to go around). Source: Amazon
Other than that good luck sticking this together. It will preform very well on pretty much all games out right now.
