I just got a brand new 750 Ti, but when I plug it in and turn my computer on, it will sit at a black screen for a few seconds before finally giving two quick beeps. I know the card is fine, as I've tested it in another computer, and my computer still works with the old card in place.

According to the various searches I've done, two quick beeps means a memory parity error, but why would I be getting that when putting in a new video card? I know my motherboard has a PCIe 1.1 16x slot, but I also know that those should be able to support PCIe 3.0 cards just fine. The other computer that I tested the card in also has a 1.1 slot.

Relevant specs:
Gigabyte GA-M61PME-S2 mobo
AMD Phenom II X4 925 (not overclocked)
Rosewill RP500-2 500W
4GB G.Skill DDR2 800

Things I've already tried:
Reseating the video card, RAM, etc.
Swapping RAM sticks around
Checking BIOS to make sure it initializes the PEG first
Swapping the PSU with the one from the other computer that the card works in
Unplugging devices from the PSU and motherboard
Swapping the RAM with the sticks from the other computer

So as you can see, I've tried pretty much anything and everything to get this thing working. Am I screwed or is there any possible way I can get this card working on my current motherboard?

Oh, I also wanted to add that I have to use a DVI-to-VGA adapter on this card for my old monitor, and on a whim I tried to boot the computer without the adapter plugged in, and it POSTed just fine. However, in the other computer, I was able to boot it and even get to the BIOS settings with the adapter and monitor fully plugged in.

Bit of an odd problem and I wonder if it means anything for my problem as a whole?
