Hello,

I am looking for some guidance to build a network for a school with about 200 users.

The school has 3 floors :

- 1st floor is for elementary school.
- 2nd floor is for intermediate school.
- 3rd floor is for high school.

It is required to separate each school's network from other schools networks to avoid bottlenecks and for organization purposes.

The school administration has a system that will deploy it to organize the 3 schools so teachers from different schools need to be able to access this system.

- How to achieve this knowing that the 3 schools are on different networks ?

- What network setup is suitable ?

- How to support this with 200 users to allow them to use the network and connect to the internet without bottlenecks and slowness knowing that they will connect using APs across the schools ?

I would really appreciate your help and support.

To do an installation like this you really need to be very well versed with switch/routing/ and wireless. If not you really need to hire someone to do it. You could spend a whole lot of money and end up with a mess if you are not careful. To sum it up quickly, you would need at least one router, switches on each floor, and wireless AP's spread throughout. But that is the 10,000 foot view. You must consider how much traffic is going to be on your network so you can determine the best way to interconnect things as well as what type switches and router(s) to get. You also need to do a site survey to determine how many wireless AP's you will need and where they should be placed.
