Hi

120gig sdrive
G1 sniper 3 motherboard.
Gtx 680 soc

I want to upgrade my pc and think the gpu would be the biggest upgrade but im not sure what to get . Was thinking between the Radeon R9290x or the GTX 780 oc . My bufget is between $600 - 800.

Which one should I get ?

I think he may be slightly biased then. As Suztera said, they trade blows in performance.

non-reference models are have custom gpu cooler from what AMD or Nvidia gpu have already. They have better cooling performance than reference models and quieter. Example, MSI Twin Frozr, Sapphire Vapor X or Trix.
Reference models will most likely just have a single fan on them which isn't a good one either. Especially for the R9 290.
