I've played the police mods for GTA SA and there OK, but are there any games that are dedicated to the Police genre? Like the ability to pull people over and arrest people. Things like that. I can't be the only one, RIGHT? ...right?

Sorry, I didnt mean to call you d**k, I meant, you as in the cop.

There was like True Crimes: LA, where you were an undercover cop.

But I can't remember any beat cop games.

LA Noire is kind of the closest you get.

Um, I guess. Kind of. I think APB reloaded has the feature to choose if you want to be Law Enforcement, or Crooks. But APB isn't a particularly good game. It's free on steam if you want to try it. I think that it's the closest to a game that allows you to be police :)

I don't know any games that does that. But Hardline that will be release this year is something alike but I don't think it's a free world.

The only solution I have for you is GTA4. Take a police car and do the mission. I don't know how much mission it have, I think it's infinite.

I already tried APB Reloaded. Hardline as in like BF Hardline? Yeah its gonna be like every other BF/COD: Linear Campaign, then there's the multiplayer which is just alot of killing eachother. I have read about LA Noire and for some reason there is a really big difference in scores. Some websites give it below 5/10 and some give it like a 8/10 or 9/10.

Yeah but you can also do that in GTA V. Its not as fun if you don't have all the abilities. I just think that no big company ever tried to do this but I don't know why. There are parkour games for crying out loud but there are no COP games. Police are like the base of most childhoods. There like superheros. It just kinda mazes me no big company ever tried this.

Because in real life being a cop is boring?
You wait around for crime to happen, and you usually don't stop it.
And you just be a general d**k to everyone.

You know why whenever a "crime" actually happens, like all the cops in the city show up? because they are bored and have nothing better to do than go to the crime scene and hangout.

Im sorry if I was being a di*k, I honestly didn't mean to. Again, sorry. And on the boring part. Alot of stories in games are based around boring things but the developers spice it up. Crimes can happen more frequently and involve guns more. That would make it a lot less boring. I was just asking if anyone had seen a game like that.

In Sleeping dogs you are an undercover cop, so half the missions you are playing as a member of the triad and the other half you are a police officer. Very fun game.

Otherwise, as others have said, True Crime games or LA Noire.
If you like the detective style gaming of LA Noire then you could also try Murdered: Soul Suspect or some of the Sherlock Holmes games.

It's a great game. Don't believe the low scores, haha. Great story and fun cases to solve with surprising twists aplenty. Very fun stuff.

If you want a realistic police game. Look no further than GTA V. You can download the RAGE Plugin Hook and play single player as a police officer (patrol cop). You can write tickets, answer calls, write parking tickets, run license plates and ID's, etc. It's the best thing I've seen in a while. There is also one that I played for GTA IV, it currently has multiplayer support (the V version does not), and it has a plethora of mods to download also. To get the Liberty City or Los Santos first response mods, you can go to (http://www.lspdfr.com).

If you'd like to see the mods in action, then you can check out my Twitch page (http://www.twitch.tv/fadedcalicojack), and see what mods I am using and how they look in game as I play almost every day. You can PM me here or through Twitch, and I will even help you set it up via teamspeak.
