Hello,

I'm planning on buying a new desktop. I'm tired of the expensive (low-spec)
prebuild pc's so I decided to go for a custom-built. However I found
myself wrestling with all the different options/technologies ... (I'm more a software guy).

Better safe than sorry, so I ask you guys, could you help me?

I've a budget of around € 1000 (+/- $ 1300). With some requirements:

* The dekstop has to be quiet (The sound of silence ;-). )
* Preferable 16 GB RAM (I often run virtualization software)
* 480+ GB SSD + 500 GB HDD
* Intel processor (Instead of AMD, due to incompatibility with some applications)
* A graphical card with HDMI/VGA (I use a multi-monitor of three screens) (1)

Optical drive, OS and screen aren't necessary ...

(1) I do not game.

Does someone know some good configurations to make the most out of the budget?

Thanks in advance,
Roger

You can change RAM and add the case...it is a little more that your budget, but meets the requirements or almost, many of them.
