It really depends on what you plan on running on it. I wouldn't go trying to power crossfire 290x's on it, but yes it's a great choice.

760/770/R9280's max and no SLI/CROSSFIRE. Any benefit getting this one Seasonic 750W Gold X-Series?

Virtually all power supplies use a single rail to generate power.
The division into different amp capacity leads is a UL safety spec.
The Seasonic is an excellent psu.
It will be hard to recoup the price premium over bronze or silver.
The bonus is that a gold or platinum rated psu will not work as hard, and will be quieter.

If you aren't going crossfire/SLI I don't see the point in spending more than the original one. That 660 should run a machine with pretty much any single GPU video card with no troubles at all.
