Gaming monitors at around $200-$300

I was thinking about getting the asus vg248qe but i dont want to get super locked into a monitor right now and i was thinking what monitors are people using and what is good for me i want at least 120hz a 24-27 inches and perform fast enough for fps gaming

I use the ASUS vg248qe. Absolute beast. It is a TN panel and as such the colors are not "pretty" like my wife's Asus MX279h. But for gaming there is not better 24" monitor.

I too would go with ASUS vg248qe as it has a very fast refresh rate and low latency.

I have the asus vg248qe trust me that is the screen you want. It has 144hz refresh rate, remember to connect it with Dual-link DVI-D as only that can support 144hz and first thing you do is enable nvidia lightboost for a crt like feeling. Though it works up to 120hz with lightboost it is really really a different screen with lightboost. And if your in usa i think you will possibly be able to buy this screen with g-synk
