I just installed a 250GB Samsung EVO SSD in my laptop. My previous HDD ran in Sata III mode(according to speccy). The Samsung 840 EVO SSD I just installed only runs in Sata II, according to three different programs: My Dell, Speccy, and Samsung Magician. However, sometimes one or two of the programs well say that it IS running in Sata III.

The laptop I have is a Dell Inspiron 15r (5537), with a dell OXFXDP motherboard. I tried looking up its specs online to confirm that it does support Sata III, but I could not find any.

Can anyone confirm that this motherboard does support Sata III?
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Tried looking for a manual and other support but Dell, is probably the most lacking company when it comes to looking up anything about Dell products. Cannot find anything to work with so I just deleted my message. Your BIOS is probably locked too which is typical with Dell. They make it very hard if not impossible to upgrade.
