I'm just wondering if EVGA's step up program applies toward getting a better card, and not just a better version of the card.
I know you could pay the difference to go from a gtx 780 3gb to a gtx 780 6 gb, but would you possibly be able to pay the difference to go from a gtx 750 ti to a gtx 760 or 770?
I'm wondering this because I'm helping my friend find parts for his first gaming pc build and would like him to not be forced into using a 750 ti if it didn't give him acceptable framerates.
I'm probably overthinking this, since he's accustomed to using the Xbox One (I know, right?) but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
