I am getting a laptop. I can either get 2x4gbs or 2x8gbs or 1x8gb. I definitely want the 2 sticks so I can make use of dual channel. However I am split between the 2x4 an the 2x8. I am leaning towards the 2x8 because it is only $20 dollars more. Your opinions would be much appreciated.
I will be doing video/photo editing.

maybe some gaming
