My 3TB is only giving me 746GB

Its in the title. I installed a 3TB hard drive into my computer. Its only reading a portion of what it has.

I was able to get more out of it when I had it hooked up to this SATA USB dock, but now that I put it inside my computer, it wont give me that remaining space.

Any help I get would be great. Thank you

I have an ASUS P5LP-LE motherboard. I should also add that I installed it as a second hard drive

Its the bios. Try Asus's Disk Unlocker utility
http://event.asus.com/mb/2010/disk_unlocker/

I dont think it gives you 3tb total, just two partition totaling 3tb.

I also have this problem. Did you managed to install the 3TB hard disk. i still cannot install the 3TB hard disk.
I downloaded a True image software from Western Digital website will enable Window Vista to see the 3TB. But when I try to partition and format the disk. Blue screen appear....
