i just joined here today in hope of overclocking my old pc.
i dont have any background in this and im quite afraid that i might destroy everything if i do things on my own.

here are my specs, i know they're quite low, but dont criticize me too much pls :)

processor: AMD athlon II x2 245 2.9GHz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 630 (2gb)
motherboard: Emaxx MCP61D3 - icafe
OS: Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit
ram: 2 pcs 2gb each kingston 1333 DDR3
i only have stock cooling system

i only want a little boost on my CPU to about 3.2-3.4 GHz ... if thats possible in what i have without adding any more hardware pls advice me on what to do :)

I don't think the cpu will overclock much anyway. And to do so, you'll need a better than stock cpu cooler
You overclock it through the motherboard bios. Newer mobos have UEFI software to make it easier to do.
I wouldn't even attempt it with your motherboard.

The GT630 you can overclock by downloading and using Afterburner.

with the games im playing right now and the apps im using, im quite satisfied with my GPU....
but i think sumtimes my CPU reaches its limits....
i kind of knew that my motherboard will hinder me thats why i came to ask the experts here for advise....
thanks a lot for the replies :)
wont attemp to OC right now. ill come back asking again in the future when i have new hardwares :)
