I'm currently using AMD FX-8350, Asus ROG Crosshair V-Foluma Z, XFX 7970 GE; I want to upgrade my graphic card for future gaming, I'm kind of within between those card I mentioned above in the title, at the same time confused by specs info and articles around forums. So can you guys give me a specific model to go with either card? Thank you for your time and sorry for this common thread :D

The 780 Ti is the fastest single GPU and its a lot faster than the 290X.Buy one from EVGA.EVGA has the best cooling fans and warranty.

They're both overkill for 1080p. Either one would do well in 1080p.

Thanks for quick reply guys, here is another concern; I see EVGA offers 4gb version but only 256 bit bus, from what I read is the bus should be around the vram?

The GTX 780 Ti has a 384 bit memory bus, coupled with a 7000 MHz memory speed. This means that it actually has more bandwidth than the 290x with its 512 bit memory bus, but only 5000 MHz operating speed. So in terms of memory performance, a mostly useless stat at 1080p, the GTX 780 Ti is faster.
