I saw a website on which they opened a lenovo laptop and removed the Intel Celeron M processor from it and replace it with a another CPU.Hey do you mean that i then got to change the motherboard. Please explain what you want to say cause i have bought the processor.(At discount of 50%)

AMD CPUs will not fit in motherboards using Intel CPUs.

Most of the time the CPU is soldered into the motherboard which makes replacing a CPU extremely difficult and time consuming. If you are replacing an Intel CPU and it is removable, then only another Intel CPU using the same socket type can it. If the new CPU socket type is different (# of and arrangement of pins), then you cannot install it in the current motherboard.

Manufacturers only create one motherboard type of laptop. You do not have any options to replace the motherboard with any other because laptop motherboards are designed specifically to fit in the chassis of a particular laptop.

There is nothing you can do. Return the CPU that you bought if possible.

What I'm saying is that it will not work, no matter how much you wish it to, or how much money you saved on the new processor.

-Different physical socket (it simply does not fit).
-Different software on the motherboard chipset. It literally does not know what to do with that AMD processor. And no, you can't change it.

They replaced it with another Intel cpu. AMD and Intel cpu's are not interchangeable. You don't put Ford oem parts in a GM vehicle.
