This is my current build: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/txkTzy

Of course I want a monitor that will be able to connect (fit in) with my build's components.

I'm a beginner to all this computer stuff and I'm wondering... Which monitor is the best for maximum & best FPS and Gaming purposes? I don't want a monitor that is bigger than my room and costs an arm if possible... I heard that 144Hz are godly but I'm not too familiar with the technologies going on around in 2014 so I'm pretty much in the dark and confused right now.

There's nothing else to say. Pretty simple question that I'm asking. :bounce:

Thanks in advance! :D

1920×1080 @144Hz

aaand... probably a maximum of 400$ CAD.

Something like ASUS VG248QE as an example... That's one of the ones that I'm interested in right now...

The thing is, I don't know if it's gonna work with the components that I want on the PcPartPicker list...

I have to say that looking at reviews and opinions of people here and there on the Internet, I think I will go for the BenQ that you suggested... ( Probably a newer version if there's one when I have my budget ready )

Only downside is that price, man... Damn.

Games I'm planning to play: Planetside 2, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty series, Crysis Series, ArcheAge, WildStar, FarCry Series, Ghost Recon Phantoms and a few other fast paced games...

I need a monitor with good response time and refresh rate... I don't want ghosting when playing Games... Makes me dizzy.
Don't get me wrong, colors DO matter but I hate ghosting... Since I will be playing really fast paced games, I need something that will give me the best experience and not just make me dizzy and have blurry trails when moving around because of bad rates... But I REALLY want good graphics quality on my screen.

EDIT: I've watched this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWXcNlh85Ps

Is the video correct? When he's moving the monitors up and down? Basically if you want better view angles you want an IPS?

I just want the most frame per second on the screen when playing games and I don't want heavy ghosting / blurry trails... Some videos are really confusing me... Such as this one, I take it that the left monitor a IPS or whatever and the right one is TN... Correct? I like the right one because of the colors... We see dark areas on the screen but that's because of the angle I suppose.

The video above is just confusing me... Is there really dark areas like that when you're sitting in front and middle of the screen?(Right monitor) If so, if I'm playing games where it requires good vision to snipe at long distances... How fun is that gonna be? It's gonna be hell.
