I've been hearing that AMD will be the future of Pc gaming since all games will run better on their hardware because it's used by console. Now I want to build a pc but what's best to use.
Fx 8350 and r9 270x
Fx 6300 and r9 280x
I5 4690 and gtx 760

More about : amd competition

The use of AMD APUs in modern game consoles certainly help's AMD's position, but that's purely relative to where they were a year or two ago and won't necessarily propel them above Intel in any significant performance metrics.

AMD's microarchitecture simply isn't as good as Intel's, and they don't seem to be dedicating any resources towards preventing the gap from widening any time soon.

The gap will close... a bit, but that's about it.

Watch dogs runs significantly better on nvidia cards, despite it being on consoles. It really just depends who's in bed with the developer at the time.

Generally though, amd aren't competitive with intel high end cpus any more, which is why things are moving very slowly now.
