I have just got this Dell Optiplex 380 sff. Yes I did look at the memory. 1GB of an Asian company I never heard of and 2GB Samsung Pc3-10600U. Anyway it buzzes six times, with no pattern, and the monitor says no VGA. Am I to assume that I have to buy new memory for this? Or could it be something else?

Hi Jims0923,
There should be a pattern for the beep codes, that will help us identify the issue. There are diagnostic LEDs located on the front of the chassis between or below the headphone connector and the USB connectors, depending on the chassis. Please check that and let me know the numbers displayed. This will also help us isolate the issue. We would proceed further based on that.
