Your just about alright. Your system draws 378 Watts (approx). Use a calculator in the future: (http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jsp) but I would go with at least 500w even if it is not corsair

Your system looks bottlenecked - why are u getting a powerful GPU like that and so much ram but a completely underpowered CPU? at least get a phenom 965 - maybe look at the FX series

however if you bought these parts - you will be alright. Check with the calculator and upgrade PSU as soon as you start adding lots of more stuff

R9-270/X requires 24Amps on the 12v rail & a 500W PSU minimum

The latest Corsair CX 430W model has 32Amps on the 12v rail. So your fine, just don't do any overclocking.

Thanks for the help scampi, to be honest i originally planned on getting the fx 6300, for $120 but i ran into some money issues and i thought that the quad core athlon x4 740 rated at 3.2 ghz for 4 cores was sufficent for gaming, excuse for my lack of knowledge but what does bottleneck mean? its not gonna hurt my comp or anything? if so i guess i will try to get better cpu but that would mean having to get a whole new motherboard too right?

Athlon II x 4 740 : http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-AD740XOKHJBOX-Processor-3-2...

^^ This one that uses FM2 socket, so if you wanted an FX 6300 or greater, you'd need an AM3+ socket motherboard.

Bottlenecking is a term used to mean that one component can't keep up with the other or hold it back to some extent.

IMO i think you will enjoy it, i shouldn't imagine the 'bottleneck' , if there is one, will be too bad.
