Hey, so I was getting BSOD and decided to do a Memtest86, I tried each stick individually, in differnt slots and one of the Ram sticks, gave like, 10000000 errors or something, I was wondering if this can be the cause of my BSOD? THis only occurts when I use programs with require more than 4GB of ram, (2 sticks i have)
so is my ram defective? and if I RMA it, is it free?

Solution
It sounds like the stick is defective. If you bought it in a set RMA them both. The cost or lack thereof will depend on the manufacturer. If it's no longer under warranty or you are not the original purchaser (the one who bought it new) don't bother with RMA, you'll get denied, just buy a new stick of RAM
