When running games, my fps randomly decides to decrease for a second or two and then rise back up to normal. For example, I used to run Smite with 50-80+ fps consistently, but now it decreases to about 20-30 fps for about 2 seconds at 7+ second intervals. I've noticed the cpu spiking too.
This seems to have happened after my basketball has landed on my bag with the laptop inside it. However it was cushioned with clothes and other contents inside so I didn't think much of it at the time. I have also been using RegClean Pro and Advanced System Care Pro to clean up registries and whatnot, but recently I have restarted my laptop after both softwares prompted a restart and I was wondering if they could have clashed in some way on startup. I have tried restoring the registries to previous versions using RegClean however this hasn't fixed my issue.
Could the impact have knocked something out of place and be causing these random fps drops?
