The newly released Xbox One controller drivers are not installing properly on my PC. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit and I'm trying to install the official 64bit driver from here, http://majornelson.com/2014/06/05/pc-drivers-for-the-xbox-one-controller-available-now/. I've snapped a screenshot of the error message.

Might anyone know why I'm getting the error above? I'm quite tech savvy and I still can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.

I solved the problem on my 7 Ultimate 64 bit (SP1)!

Bye bye,
Mirko.

As osmium posted, the fix is to install the following 2 updates

Update for User-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685813)

Update for Kernel-Mode Driver Framework version 1.11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2685811)

both can be done individually from microsofts website (copy/paste each into google, click the first link and scroll down to "Download the update package now.") or through windows update

This vid

has the links in the description for 32&64bit drivers. I think MS has pulled them offline as they're Supposed to be included via windows update. I'd try to uninstall in the device manager manually and then restart, install the right driver and try again. Good luck
