So basically, my mother is buying me a new computer and im very thrilled! (I'm 12)... Basically my maximum price of my budget is $1300-$1400! I definitely want a laptop. (but if there is nothing that can get what im asking for I'd be willing to get a desktop) Right now im looking at a battalion 101 W370SS Gaming Laptop from iBUYPOWER! I've been doing a lot of research and making sure it is right for me but I really haven't found the answers I've been looking for! So as you might've read from above, I want it to run the game Minecraft at 200+ fps (really I want 400+ but 200 would salvage) and I also want to be able to play Dayz at atleast 15+ fps (its a laggy game :/) The Battalion that im looking at is customizable and I left it as be except for I added 1tb on the main hard drive ( I might change it to 500) and 500 on the data hard drive.... so here is the part which I am most curious about .. how much fps do you average I will get on these games listed below with these specs listed below...

I understand your want for a laptop. I have had many laptops that I used for playing games and I recently purchased my first desktop...I will never go back to a laptop. I would spend $1,000 to $1,500 per laptop that would only last about 2 years reliably, then off to get another laptop that barely plays my games any better than the first.

The problem lies in the design of laptops. High visual capability naturally leads to high temperatures. No matter how good your laptop is it will never dissipate the heat like a desktop will which causes damage to your laptop components. A good analogy is leaving a bicycle out in the rain. The bike is fine the first few times but the more times it rains (or your computer over heats without you...
Um, 200fps....

You can't even see more than 60 for the most part.

You could get a desktop, and cut that price in half.....

Personally, spending $1300 for minecraft, is a waste of money. You only spend that much on a PC, if you want to do some demanding applications. Just don't. A laptop isn't worth it it the end either. You only need a laptop if you go to LAN parties often. You could get a console sized desktop, with all the power you need. Lets say you wanted to bring it to a friends house. Well, you can. Hook it up to a TV and use a controller.

Now onto DayZ. 15 FPS is horrible.

Actually, I am not going to go any further. I think, before you purchase anything, you need to do some research. I am only trying to help you, because I have known people in your situation.

That budget for a laptop is way overkill, and like said earlier, it ultimately is a waste because you really can't upgrade anything on a laptop other than the memory size. Unlike with a PC you can upgrade it as time goes on.

A 350.00 dollar laptop from hp, dell, etc will run just fine for minecraft. I have an HP pavillion i got a year ago during black friday for 350.00 that runs minecraft at 30 fps. And it is one of the low end pavillions, i'd look at the HP pavillion 7 for a cheap gaming laptop.

Otherwise i would suggest asking someone on the forums to put together a custom pc build for you with the given budget, you would be able to run even the most demanding games on high to ultra.

And also, most pc monitors will only go to 60-120 Hz, so not sure if you are trolling or not with 200+ fps requirement...

Many say human eye can't even notice the difference after 60 frames.

The problem lies in the design of laptops. High visual capability naturally leads to high temperatures. No matter how good your laptop is it will never dissipate the heat like a desktop will which causes damage to your laptop components. A good analogy is leaving a bicycle out in the rain. The bike is fine the first few times but the more times it rains (or your computer over heats without you even knowing) the more damage that will occur. If you really spend your budget on building a good desktop (not purchasing from a mass retailer like hp or dell) you will be playing most games at ultra/high detail for up to 3 years, then in three years for half the price you can upgrade your desktop and keep playing! If you are certain you only want to play Minecraft and Dayz and you NEVER want to play anything more demanding you can build a PC that capable for $700 easily and save the rest.

I agree with the previous poster about the frame rate. Most monitors only display 60 frames per second, while very good monitors only display 120 fps. Scientifically 120 fps can only be slightly detected above a simple 60 fps because of limitations in your eyes. Anything above 60 fps will go completely unnoticed and unneeded. Above 60 fps can also lead to tearing in an image, it is difficult to explain but if your PC is sending 200 fps to the monitor, but the monitor is only displaying 60 that means the monitor is simply skipping many of the frames, but not always in the right order leading to slightly mistimed images that become noticeable to your eye. Most games have a feature called V-sync that causes your PC to send out a Maximum of 60 fps that prevents image tearing. I always use V-sync when it is available since my monitor is only 60 Hz.

Lastly, If you do not take any of my above advice, take this advice:

DO NOT BUY FROM IBUYPOWER OR CYBERPOWER!

Those two websites are owned and run by the same exact company. They are known to give discounts on certain products but that is because many of those products are refurbished and if a problem occurs (even if you pay for a warranty) they will fight you for months to get anything actually done. If you look up Ibuypower or Cyberpower customer service in Google you will find hundreds of forums with the same problems. If you cannot build a PC with your own hands and want a very trusted company to do it you should check out Ironside computers. They are a smaller company that has a free 3 year warranty and free professional wiring. I haven't had large dealing with them, but the few that I have had have been wonderful.

I am sorry if I went on a bit of a rant there, I just don't want to see you throw away your money on something simply because you were not informed.
