H80i High Temps!

Hi, i recently installed an h80i in a 750d case
I replaced 1 of the fans and installed a corsair af120 led
I get idle 40 degrees and 80 on load.
Why are other people getting lower temps on load?
Is there something wrong with my install?
I checked everything and it looks fine

Yes wrong fan type, AF are not really meant for radiators, you need to SP fan series. Like this.

Yes!.

SP means Static pressure and AF means Air Flow.

What temps will i be getting on idle and load then?

That depends on your ambient room temperature, your case air flow, what you are doing, how much thermal compound you put on your CPU, so I cant really determine what they would be like but I can certainly say they will be better than what they are now. Just to put in perspective when I was running on a stock cooler I was getting 60c+ on BF4, when I installed my H60 (the cooler below yours) it shaved 20c off!

whats your CPU and how many cooling fans do you have in your case, also where abouts do you live? just want to figure out whether you live in a hot climate or not.

CPU is intel i7 3770 2 fans on top and 2 on front live in uk

According to corsair link temp is 40 degress

which fan socket did you put the water block connector into? what is the RPM of that?

2203? and thats your water block? that should be atleast 4000RPM.

It says h80i pump 2203 and maximum is 2208rpm

have you set it to silent mode or quiet mode in the BIOS? My H60 pump runs at around 4500RPM

My motherboard is asus p8z77v lx and as far as i know its at normal
