Hello, I am buying a new 16GB G. Skill Trident X kit as it meets all of my timing/frequency requirements, however to get it to fit under my Noctua NH-D14 I will need to remove the heat spreaders on the top of the ram, how important are these and do they make a difference for anything?

About 3 degrees cooler with it on, but these run nice and cool regardless, heat hasn't been an issue with the Tri's even when OCing, I've used a ton of them in clint and personal builds going back to mid 2012 when I got the 32GB set of 2400 sticks, and I often OC them over and above spec, have 16GB of 2666 sticks in my Z79 Hero running at 2800
