What can you possibly do with PCI slots (not express the original PCI slots). Are there modern day wireless adapters that plug into this? What can I do with them?

So I've got a MSI H97 gaming 3 motherboard with 3 PCI slots on it. Can I plug a Rosewill Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI 2.2 Up to 150Mbps Data Rates (RNX-N150PCX)? First is this a good card? The reason I'm asking is because I see this card has PCI 2.2 and I don't know if my board will fit it. So could you please tell me if it will work on any if not all modern day boards. Company's do not really boast about "PCI 2.2" so I don't know if my board has PCI 2.2.

the PCI 2.2 standard is from 1998 so the motherboard will support it.
