First time custom water loop.

So I am looking into making a custom water loop for my CPU. I have done a lot of research on it and have found out a lot of the information that I needed to feel comfortable to do it. However, there is not much information on how to drain the loop when you need to. So I am looking for some advice on the best way to do this. Also I am wondering if I were to use a fluid from Koolance or some other brand how often would I have to change it?

I am getting into watercooling as well, but I know a thing or two, One way to drain it, is to Open up two ends, and blow through the tubing to get the water out and into a bucket. Taking off you water block helps with this. In about or a little less than a year, you would have to replace the fluid. Just stick with water, and buy colored tubing. If you get distilled water, and a kill coil (or any anti microbial agent), you won't need to drain your loop for over a year.

Well could you possibly give me a suggestion right now of what you might do instead of that kit? I have the NZXT Phantom 820 case. Also I was kind of looking for something that I could add a graphics card on to it in the future. Also I do not see the link for a video.

The 360mm radiator kits from XSPC would be better. You can fit a 360 at the top of your case. 360mm rads will let you have room for a GPU too. I also would reccomend a 120mm rad for the back of your case.

Ok thank you for your help! What reservoir might you recommend for that case or just in general? I kind of like the idea of the dual 5.25" bay ones.

Any reservoir is fine. I like XSPC Photon ones, which I will be using for my build soon. Really it just depends on what works best with your case. I will have to super glue mine to the case that I will be getting. What case will you be using?

I would recommend getting a reservoir that has a drain plug. Another option is to put a "T" inline with a drain plug.
