Solution
Why are you going with an external DVD writer? That case is definitely large enough to get an internal optical drive.

everything else looks good to me.

are you just looking for a dvd burner? No interest in bluray reader/writer? If so you can usually find a dvd writer at newegg for around $15 bucks. I have used these cheap drives in several builds and haven't had a problem yet. Maybe someone else has a preference other than that though. Either way, just stick to an internal 5.25" drive.

I looked for some cheap ones, but I couldn't find any that were 5.25".
I found this one, would it be compatible with my current setup? I mainly want the optical drive for downloading the os and programs. HP 12.7mm Slim DVD RW JackBlack Optical Drive Black SATA Model 652235-B21

Thanks for helping me out, I think I will go with the LG optical drive you linked. The price is definitely alot better than the hp one I was going to go with. For just installing programs anyway.
